SUNY Korea held an East Asian Citizenship Education mentoring program for English teachers from July 20 to 31, 2020.

This program aims to encourage participants to achieve a level of practical curriculum experience where they can share their thoughts with local schools and fellow teachers through counseling with designated professor mentors who provide teaching methods and support through workshops to help teachers develop the best teaching practices.

The program consists of a seminar on understanding of civil education in East Asia, related theories and background, workshops on various teaching methods such as community-based learning, counseling with mentors, and discussion. Professor Andrew Lasher and Sira Maliphol from SUNY Korea, professor Simon McIntyre from Pukyong National University, and professor Kirsten Morris form the University of Utah Asia Campus joined as mentors.
