Abstract
Political Science in Korean academia has been relying on case-gathering and descriptive explanation rather than analytic and scientific method, although the name of the subject is political science. There are several questions regarding scientific approach: what is science? what is knowledge? what is purpose of science; explanation, understanding, or prediction? As an example of using a big data, GDELT data for inter-Korean relations shows the direction of social science with computer science and statistics.
